UIL is completed!   We are very pleased to announce that EVERY  choir brought home a Sweepstakes trophy!  The students’ work ethic in class, fierce attitude, and strong desire to make beautiful music was evident!  We are so proud of each and every student!  Everyone has grown as choir members and musicians this year!  

In Sight Reading, each choir worked as  a team to master the music that we were handed. This year the varsity mixed music was the most difficult I’ve seen in my entire time teaching in high school.  The choir rose up to the challenge.  Music Literacy is a key to the success of our performances on stage. It allows us to learn our music quickly so that we can focus on tone, dynamic and interpretation of the songs.  

The last 2 days, we hosted the Varsity UIL at Cinco Ranch High School.  We are so thankful to our student volunteers who followed directions, remained flexible and asked questions if they needed help. They were polite, kind, and helpful to the choir who visited our school.  We received so many compliments on their work!  THANK YOU for representing for our Cinco Choir!!!!

As we approach the start of course selection on February 5, for the 2024/2025 school year, we are eager to encourage all our students to consider rejoining the choir. Witnessing the tremendous growth in their vocal skills and music reading abilities has been truly rewarding.

While there is an abundance of academic information to navigate, we believe it is equally crucial for your child to have a dedicated time during the day for joy, engaging in an activity they love. Our choir not only fosters hard work but also offers daily moments of fun and reward. Students actively cultivate critical thinking and creativity through their musical expressions.

To facilitate course planning, we have created a helpful template that outlines how choir can be seamlessly incorporated into your child’s schedule for all four years of high school. Moreover, for those interested in the Bravo Vocal Ensemble, the template demonstrates the possibility of accommodating two choir classes. You can access the Seven-Year Choir Template .

It’s essential to highlight that colleges evaluate students holistically, considering factors beyond just GPA.
